What’s Covered (Residential Homes)

• Frame & Frame Finish: 10 years
• Hardware (locks, handles, moving parts): 10 years
• Screens: 10 years
• Operable parts (hinges, rollers, balances): 10 years
• Insulated Glass (sealed unit): 25 years — moisture between panes
• Laminated Glass: 10 years
• Stress Cracks in Glass: 1 year

What’s Not Covered

• Improper installation, storage, use, or lack of maintenance
• Normal wear, scratches, fading, corrosion, or weathering
• Water intrusion/leaks, condensation, storm or hurricane damage
• Building settlement, shifting, or structural issues
• Painting/coatings, aftermarket films, or harmful chemical cleaners
• Caulking/sealants (homeowner maintenance items)
• Glass characteristics (distortion, bubbles, minor imperfections) meeting industry standards
• Thermal stress cracks from extreme temperature change or localized heat
• Contact between aluminum and copper‑treated wood (e.g., ACQ)

Your Responsibilities

• Keep proof of purchase and follow care/cleaning instructions
• Use only recommended cleaners; avoid solvents
• Notify Hurrishield within 30 days of home sale to transfer warranty (use info@hurrishieldwindows.com)

Transferability

One‑time transfer to the next homeowner for up to **7 years from the original delivery date**, if Hurrishield is notified in writing within 30 days of transfer and provided the warranty and order number.

What Hurrishield Will Do (Exclusive Remedy)

• Provide repair parts or replacement components/products at Hurrishield’s option
• Replacement may differ in color/finish due to aging or dye lots
• The original warranty period is not extended by repair or replacement

Costs & Legal Limitations

• Labor, removal, reinstallation, and delivery costs are not covered
• No coverage for interior damage (walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, electronics, appliances), water/mold, loss of use, or lost profits
• This warranty provides the sole and exclusive remedy; incidental/consequential damages are disclaimed to the fullest extent allowed by law (some states do not allow these exclusions)

Commercial, Rental & Non‑Owner‑Occupied Properties

• Coverage reduced: Frame & Finish 5 yrs; Hardware & Screens 3 yrs; Operable parts 3 yrs; Insulated Glass 10 yrs; Laminated Glass 5 yrs; Stress Cracks 1 yr
• Not transferable

Notes: Warranty begins on delivery to the installation address. Hurrishield may substitute discontinued parts with items of equal quality/performance. Refer to the official Hurrishield Limited Warranty for the complete, binding terms.
